How to convert DVD to MKV

We usually want to find some high quality resource to enjoy on our mobile devices such as mobile phone, tablets, etc. Actually, DVD and blu-ray will always be our best choice. Nonetheless, we cannot avoid the damage made during the process of converting DVD to popular video formats. But we can decrease the damage by converting DVD to MKV, which is taking more capacity but maintaining high visual quality.

MKV, MKA, MKS are three common Matroska file types. Matroska Multimedia Container, an open standard free container format, is a file format that can hold an unlimited number of video, audio, picture or subtitle tracks inside a single file. Matroska is similar to other containers like AVI, MP4 or ASF, but is entirely open in specification.

Download DVD Ripper

Step1. Load DVD files
After installed the DVD ripper in your pc you can insert DVD disc to the hard drive, and then click “Add” on the DVD ripper to import DVD files.

Step2. Choose the titles or chapters you want to rip and then select the language of “Subtitle”, “Audio” and set the “Angle” if necessary.

Step3. Choose the output format
You can choose the output format in the drop down box of “Profile”, or you can input “MKV” in the search bar which can help you to find the result quickly. In this step, you can also decide the “Output” in which you want to store your converted files.

Step4. Converting
You just need to click “Convert” to start converting DVD to MKV after all things have been done. You can view the conversion progress on popup window. And after conversion, just click “Open” to get the converted files.
